It's just the old British Rail logo, isn't it? Towards the end it was the same logo but with a different colour background.

Re: P&O ferries
I couldn't remember, so just looked up the logo for Sealink. Instantly recognisable and made my stomach lurch. Took me a while to work out why. It's the same sensation I get looking down the sloping walkways to the platforms at Euston Station. It's the memory/anticipation of horrible seasickness making all those trips to visit family in Eire as a small child (Euston to Holyhead for the ferry to Dublin). The Irish Sea is a malicious, roiling monster.

Nurse, tell me about it, I almost drowned crossing the Irish sea in a sailing schooner the Sir Winston Churchill, the ship was heeled over at least 45 degrees and in a very rough sea, so walking was very difficult, at one point, I slipped and would have gone overboard if not for the wires along the side I would have, it's the closest I've come to dying, it gave me a new respect for the sea.

Nothing surprises me anymore, we'll have kids up chimneys before we are finished

Re: P&O ferries
Can the government not simply revoke the licences of those ships to operate in UK waters? Not like it's going to cost any jobs now, is it?

Being that you agree with what Boris says and that you don't think that Brexit or a different government would have made any difference, one wonders why you didn't just post up, 'I don't like Boris, he's a cunt'.

It would have had the virtue of being honest, less cryptic and less mealy-mouthed.

Neo-Liberalism is the problem - it's a busted flush which won't meet our needs in the future

THIS, in spades.

Doesn't matter whether you call it neo-liberalism, neo-con, globalism or corporate government merger (or capture), its turned us all over and will ensure our children and grandchildren are no better than Russian serfs.

Neither Tories or Labour with a neo-lib patsy in the driving seat are going to grasp the nettle nor will a hard right blowhard like Farage and his ilk.

Time for Plan C - not going back to the crap of the past - whether it be blue, red or yellow.

It means fuck all.

Anyway, Lyon at home! Beautiful city perfect for a long weekend... Thursday to Monday 👌

Again, you’re putting words into my mouth, I merely pointed out that Bozo said that 'delivering a high wage, high skill economy' was the way forward which has been instantly undermined, as predicted by those who could see right through it.
I know that’s hard for to swallow but please do hit me with some more bullshit about Brexit and Labour if it makes you feel good.

Re: P&O ferries
I was sacked along with hundreds of others in 1988 by P&O, this was just afterthe Herald disaster in 87. Nothing to do with safety, just to reduce manning and conditions. The government helped them at the time and nothing has changed.Have never used P&O since.

Blowjob and his corrupt Eton mates are asset stripping everything this country owns and flogging it to the highest bidder - anybody will do as long as none of them are flying their beloved Union Jack...

Re: P&O ferries
If this is Brexit related then the best that can be said is that P&O are fucking slow on the uptake and we're best rid of them; doesn't say much for their ability to deliver stuff to keep those creaking shelves full.

This is just someone having a hissy fit on behalf of someone else.

Can you explain how this might have been prevented before Brexit?
